When thinking about where to live in America, the choices are certainly not limited. There’s some of the most exciting places on the planet, and some of the prettiest. There are cheap places, expensive, reasonable and unreasonable, small and big. Few places though, are as exciting and interesting as well as livable, as Louisville.
To start, Louisville has great weather. Four full seasons with cooler summers and warmer winters gives citizens the full experience. It also makes enjoying the various parks and greenery of Louisville even easier. Waterfront Park, Bernheim Forest, and the Falls of the Ohio State Park are just a few pretty areas.
Culturally, Louisville has great events every year. The Kentucky Derby, one of the biggest art shows in the nation, and prominent music festivals are nothing to scoff at. Bourbon Row and a bustling nightlife can also be found in Louisville. This makes it easy to stay entertained and light hearted in the city.
At the same time, Louisville real estate is incredibly affordable. It rests in the lower half of housing prices in America. And on a local scale has one of the lowest costs of living in Jefferson county. There are nicer and more expensive Victorian homes, but also cheaper new homes as well.
This is all to say that Louisville is a city for anyone. While it may not be the single prettiest, most interesting, or affordable. It is one of the most interesting, pretty, and affordable cities. There’s a reason the people of Louisville hold so much pride. It may not be for everyone, but it certainly can be for anyone.
