For 38 terrifying seconds, Jamie Cashion was engulfed by 18-foot flames, suffering third-degree burns over 36 percent of his body, including severe injuries to his face and hands.
Doctors at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Shriners Burn Institute worked tirelessly to save his life, even considering amputating his hands due to the severity of his burns. Against all odds, Jamie Cashion survived, regained the use of his hands, and credits his survival to both divine intervention and unrelenting determination. This defining experience became the cornerstone of his commitment to share a message of hope with others.
